I like this part:
"The yin to the yang of privacy is consent. Consent can and is often sacrificed by its holder, but to what degree do individuals know what rights they are forfeiting and how it happens? "

Good stuff!

SPOTLIGHT: GRADY JUDD
Sheriff Grady Judd: Polk County's top crime-fighter
Amy L. Edwards
Sentinel Staff Writer
March 18, 2007

SENTINEL: Polk County does not have X-rated venues such as topless clubs or adult bookstores. Is this something that can continue as the county's population increases?

GRADY JUDD: Absolutely. My interpretation and that of one of my colleagues at the State Attorney's Office doesn't allow criminal activity to hide behind the First Amendment. . . . Our philosophy was not to shut them down. We said as long as they complied with the law, they could stay open. But you can't comply with the law and stay open. So they're gone.

Take a look at Reno v. ACLU. It discusses this theory you touch upon -- that we dont need speech dumbed down to a child's level. And Virginia Board of Pharmacy discusses the right to *receive* information.
